Trekking and mtb

Valmalenco has a great trail network: many are suitable for families with young children while others are climbing routes leading to some of the highest peaks in the Alps.

Many of the mountain huts, alpine pastures and lakes can be reached both on foot or by car.
Thanks to the well-designed trails (some easier and others more challenging) you can take your bike on holiday with you.
You can rent a mountain bike in Valmalenco: for the less trained bikers we suggest trying the electric bike.
Winter Winter

Skiing, snowshoeing, excursions

Skiing is the most popular sport in Valmalenco: by the modern cable car called the Snow Eagle, one of the biggest cable car in the world, you can reach the ski area of Alpe Palù. Here you will find 60 kilometres of ski slopes for both beginners and experienced skiers.
You will also find cross-country ski tracks: the natural ski runs of Lake Palù, the San Giuseppe to Chiareggio circuit and the Lanzada circuit, lit at night.
Snowshoeing is the perfect way to enjoy nature to the fullest, to explore ancient woodlands and snow covered valleys.
